Moving On Up?????

Hello-thrice
Well I’ve decided to make the switch – Blogger just went a step too far. So I’m getting use to WordPress.
May 2012

I first wrote those words three years ago but then decided it was a bit of a chore to set things up in a new format. However after struggling with a post for a good three hours yesterday and having it disappear into the ether on Blogger I had enough. So I’m seriously making the switch this time. I’ve already moved over today’s (September 7, 2015) Lunedi Lunacy and worked on tomorrow’s post but have yet to decide if I will move everything over. We shall see – it seems a bit of a chore.

In the meantime I’ll be playing around with this site seeing what I can add, take away or change to make it more my own.

Hello Google? Hello Blooger? Hello Anyone?

For the past few weeks I have been experiencing a real problem with Blogger and tags. When I try to add tags I get: Error message bX-q8mnbv and everything I have done wipes out. The apparent problem is that you can only have 2000 tags per blog and only 20 per posting.

Well now there really is no way of knowing how many tags I have other than counting each individually – you know down the left hand side there, just scrolling down and doing the old 1… 2… 3… 500… 595… etc etc. I’m pretty sure I don’t have 2000 but you never know but I know I have never put more than five or six tags on a post.

It is getting pretty frustrating. And even more frustrating is the fact that Blogger has not responded to the 41 error reports that are recorded on the Error Message bX-q8mnbv Help Page. Actually I lie, someone said two weeks ago that it was being looked into and they would get back to us soon. Now I know in the airline business we often said “soon” in answer to the question: When will the plane be boarding? And in that case “soon” could be anywhere from 2 minutes to 10 hours. So maybe Goggle-Blogger runs on airline time.

In the meantime I, and quite a few others, are getting just a bit frazzled. I mean would it hurt the people at Google to at least tell us to go screw ourselves if they are planning on doing nothing about the situation. Or at least tell us that we have to cut down our tag list and do more with less? But no, nothing. And I notice it hasn’t even made it to the known issue section – so obviously for someone there it isn’t an issue, just for the user.

So if someone at Google should happen to read this – could you at least send me an e-mail saying: Hello, Go to Hell or better yet Here’s the solution to the problem.

18 ottobre – its not but it should be San Jude – the saint of hopeless causes!

Strano… Molto Strano

I switched over to Firefox this week because I was continually having problems with IE. Everything has been going along swimmingly – a few sites seem to download slower but they are the exception. Then suddenly tonight I can’t get into anybody’s blog – or at least none hosted by Blogger.

I keep being told that “your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spyware application. To protect our users, we can’t process your request right now.” I followed their instructions to remove the Google cookie but all that did was restrict me from entering in to my own dashboard. I found a way around that but still can’t read get access to any of my blog buddies postings for today.

Just wondering if anyone else has had that problem and what the heck can be done about it?

Update:
Well I don’t believe this but I can’t even access my own blog from the View Blog button on the dashboard. This is getting frustrating and if its what happens with Firefox …

Updated Update:
A good nights sleep for everyone and things are back to normal – apparantly I no longer look similar to anything nasty or unsavoury. Though a quick glance in the mirror first thing this morning may refute that.

Under MilkWood –

I had just completed a 400 word post with links etc under the above title using Blogger’s new auto save. But it appears it did not … autosave that is… and unfortunately being Blogger it is not possible to contact anyone about it. I worked long and hard on it. The moral being – do it in Word first then copy and paste because Blogger’s autosave is more bug ridden than a convertible windshield on a summer night. I am royally pissed.

Good night all..
