Memes for. A Monday

A very mixed bag this week but let’s start the week with the way I feel most mornings lately. And a few afternoons too I might add.

A dear friend was rhapsodizing over the joys of a good old fashioned pencil but sadly even the best HB comes to an end.

Okay someone has been watching me pack – for a weekend!

Oh for the days of simple news reading without two-minute “in depth” commentary or opinion.

As odd as it may sound we use GPS to get around here on the Island and I changed from that irritatingly whiny “female” to a rather soothing male Irish brogue and haven’t go lost yet.

This is funny but it is probably right on the nose.

This is what best friends are for:

Charge for it and they will come!

Pretty much how I’ve been feeling lately when I look in the mirror.

The word for July 11th is:
Pencil /ˈpensəl/: [1. noun 2. verb]
1. An instrument for writing or drawing, consisting of a thin stick of graphite or a similar substance enclosed in a long thin piece of wood or fixed in a metal or plastic case.
2. To write, draw, or color with a pencil.
Middle English (denoting a fine paintbrush): from Old French pincel, from a diminutive of Latin peniculus ‘brush’, diminutive of penis ‘tail’. The verb was originally (early 16th century) in the sense ‘paint with a fine brush’.
Well that sure conjurers up some Freudian images.

  1. My hubby would not let me change it to male voice since the girl keeps calling him ‘the sexiest’! Which in actual is just saying “take six east”, but who cares!!! LOL, you hear what you want to hear 😀

  2. An Irish brogue would definitely direct my pencil to the correct destination.
As Debra so astutely pointed out “all funny… and sadly true”.

  3. You may not have wine in prison, but you can make Pruno. Isn’t homemade always better?

You should post some photos so we can judge what happened for ourselves.
