Lunedi Lunacy

If ever there was the perfect ballet score I honestly think Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker is just about it.  His other two are masterpieces but I think Case-Noisette  has more beautiful moments.  And is there anything more magical than the Snow scene?  From those first flakes of drifting snow through the almost erotic pas de deux to the glorious finale it is pure theatrical magic.  And here is that finale: a perfect wedding of voice, orchestra, movement, lighting, design and effects in the San Francisco Ballet production.
