My old boss and friend Andrew posted this picture on Facebook.  It conjurers up a time when things were bleak and the future far from bright but life – with a few adaptations – continued.

  1. Happy Chrisnukkah (horrid portmanteau). I know you’ve studiously avoided all reference recently to our current unquiet times, and we’re not, thank God, at war yet, but ‘a time when things were bleak and the future far from bright’ doth apply now to an extent, doth it not? At least you’ve got Trudeau. We still live in hope.
