Lunedi Lunacy

Yesterday on FaceBook I received notification of two posts that made me consider anew that whole thing about the “unconditional love” of dogs.

The one involved a quote on the heraldic origin of the word “pretence” which led to the observation that our coat of arms would include Dachshunds Rampant in honour of their pretence to love us in exchange for food… lots and lots of food.

And seconds later this appeared on another friend’s page to confirm the previous observation:

’nuff said!

On this day in 1899: Pearl Hart, a female outlaw of the Old West, robs a stage coach 30 miles southeast of Globe, Arizona.

  1. Priceless! We were out for several hours and just got home. The cats were at the window on their hind legs, rubbing their heads against the glass. Our neighbor peaked over and said, “That’s so sweet. Look how they love you.” I said, “I’m just late giving them their afternoon treats.”

But, OK, I gave them their treats and Dudo is purring away on my lap.
